Grimm, The Brothers
Jacob Grimm was born on January 4, 1785 in Hanau and died on September 20, 1863 in Berlin. Upon completion of a law degree, he worked as a librarian in Kassel, and later as a professor in Göttingen and Berlin. Wilhelm Grimm was born on February 24, 1786 in Hanau and died on December 16, 1859 in Berlin. Like his brother, he also studied law and became a professor in Göttingen. Together, they collected and produced “Kinder- und Hausmärchen” and “Deutsches Wörterbuch”.
