KNISTER was born in 1952 in Bottrop, Germany. He studied social pedagogy at Essen University, and rhythm and movement at the Folkwang School in Essen. KNISTER worked for many years in special education and was active in children’s theater. He has been a freelance writer and composer since 1978, and he has written plays and music for children’s radio and television. KNISTER has written more than 40 books since 1980, which have been translated into over 30 languages. This is his second picture book for minedition after A PROMISE IS A PROMISE .
